Here are the MUDGIRL 2021 health measures to ensure your safety above all else, while still creating a race you’ll love to be part of.
These measures may be modified according to the evolution of the health situation. They are based on guidance from Public Health officials as of September 2021.
VACCINATION PASSPORT (ONLY IN QUEBEC)
The implementation of the health pass affects our events taking place in the province of Quebec.
We are therefore obliged to only accept participants who can present:
Their health pass on the VaxiCode application, or a printed copy
No entry to the race venue can be allowed if this document is not presented.
Only people aged 13 and over are affected by this restriction.
If in view of these new restrictions, you cannot or do not wish to participate in MUDGIRL, here are your solutions:
Transfer your ticket to a person willing and able to participate : Transfer platform
Postpone your ticket until next year: Please make this request on this contact form, indicating your order number
No reimbursement request will be accepted in connection with the new health pass measures.
BEFORE THE RACE
On multiple occasions we will send an email to all participants detailing the course of action for the event and highlighting the main federal and local health instructions. This information will also be available on our website; www.mudgirlrun.ca
Any participant who experiences symptoms of Covid-19, or has been in proximity to someone with the virus, should NOT, under any circumstances, show up for the race.
ON SITE INSTRUCTIONS
No spectators allowed at each event.
Masks for participants are required from the point you leave your vehicle until you return to your vehicle, except not while you’re actively participating on the course. We do, however, recommend wearing a mask on the course.
In order to avoid unnecessary contact, we ask you to respect physical distancing at all times (as far as possible, six feet minimum), and contactless payments will be available at the parking lot entrance, at food trucks, and at the store. To increase safety, you will not be able to try on clothes in the store.
The village area will have strict safety rules: mandatory temperature checks, and masks will be mandatory for everyone (not mandatory while competing on the course) .
There will be hand sanitizer available throughout the site and course.
You will not be allowed to check-in more than 45 minutes before the start time indicated on your entry ticket
DURING THE RACE
It is essential and mandatory to respect your start time, no change may be made on the day of the race. You should only be at the start area at the time indicated on your entry ticket, not before or after.
The waves will be launched in small groups of 25 people, or fewer, every 3 minutes from 8:30 am until 2:00 pm.
On the race course, traffic will be one-way and waiting areas will be marked out before the major obstacles to avoid any congestion
We strongly encourage wearing a mask throughout the race, but it is not mandatory.
All these measures are established in order to protect you and comply with public health instructions. Regardless of the health situation, we consider it essential for everyone to have access to athletic events and the possibility of challenging themselves physically. To us, this is a necessity for the well-being of our society.
